Whenever I share my father's story, my talk is designed to challenge fathers to pass on to their children a Godly heritage. I believe God is calling on fathers to do the same today. My father believed this as well, and he understood that his children's view of their heavenly Father would be based on their view of their earthly father.

From the day I was born until he took his last breath on this earth, my father was intentionally focused on ensuring that my sister and I knew that he loved us and, most importantly, that God loved us and had a plan for our lives. My father consistently projected a vision for our lives that began and ended with him teaching us about the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord (Romans 8:39). After writing When I Grow Up To Be A Daddy, a book about my father, and after sharing his story for many years, I have been able to break his parenting strategy down into ten  principles that are biblically based.  If you apply these principles to your own life, I believe you will become an even better father and dramatically improve the odds that your children will be more fulfilled and more prepared to pursue God's purpose for their lives.
